Sounds like I've got a long way to go if I ever want to try drafting a collar again.
It just sits funny, almost like there's too much fabric at the outer edge :S I think I need to do what Gertie did in her tutorial with the shoulder seam.
Ashley xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02818220432918190586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524079776848398622.post-77398731176825970382011-12-11T17:04:22.962+00:002011-12-11T17:04:22.962+00:00I hear you about picking your battles! I just love...I hear you about picking your battles! I just love that strawberry fabric. Does the dress come up fairly high? If so, you might be able to do Casey's tutorial for a removable collar? Either way, I think it will look fabulous!Debihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12668255845241284664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524079776848398622.post-28186601888497794702011-12-11T16:54:54.741+00:002011-12-11T16:54:54.741+00:00Such a shame as it's looks like a beautifully ...Such a shame as it's looks like a beautifully drafted collar. You topstitched the edges as well which is what I did. I don't know why it doesn't sit flat. I had about 3 goes at drafting a collar before I was happy with mine.Katyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04652602198760195318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524079776848398622.post-29606644754058254052011-12-11T16:31:52.644+00:002011-12-11T16:31:52.644+00:00I don't have enough white fabric left :( Plus,...I don't have enough white fabric left :( Plus, I'm really bad at sewing visible binding on neatly! It ends up all wonky. lol
I've got plenty of strawberry fabric left, so I'm just going to use that. Less noticeably wonky too ;)
Thanks!
Ashley xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02818220432918190586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524079776848398622.post-60999351285830105122011-12-11T16:27:32.505+00:002011-12-11T16:27:32.505+00:00Oh no :( I really like the contrast of the white c...Oh no :( I really like the contrast of the white collar...perhaps you could bind the neckline and sleeves with white bias binding, that might look cute. Good luck :) xKathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00332668769206406249noreply@blogger.com
