It's back!!

It's back, it's back!! My sewing mojo is back!! Or at least, I'm pretty sure it is ;) I think the Pendrell dress scared it away, but now that I've decided that it's ok to have a UFO (unfinished object) I actually want to sew again because it means I don't have to work on that dreaded dress! I mean, heck, I have plenty of knitting WiPs (works-in-progress) hanging around, including a cardigan that I haven't worked on in forever.
Now, no sewing has actually taken place yet. However, some fabric/pattern shopping has! And I have a massive urge to browse through my pattern box. Here's what I just ordered:
Chantilly
Rooibos
Bleu
The fabric is for the Chantilly, and I also ordered lining. I cannot wait!! Now I'm off to browse through my patterns!

  1. Yay! Welcome back Ashley's sewing mojo ;o)

Lately I've bee drawn more to knitting and I've too felt my sewing mojo dwindle. I think mine's back now too, or partially back anyway!

Enjoy looking through your patterns and I can't wait to see what you next sew. Loving your choice of fabric for your Chantilly!

    1. :D Thanks! I think it's the weather. Sitting in an armchair all snuggled up with a cup of tea and some knitting is much more appealing in this weather than wandering around in your underwear so you can try on a dress as you're sewing it!!
Isn't it pretty? :) I love Croft Mill, they always have such pretty prints. Though I still haven't found a place to buy decent solids!

  2. Yay, sewing mojo! I'm hoping to spend my evening on the machine too. In fact, I'd be there right now if I didn't have to go and be a bored kitch- sorry, loving wife for a bit first.

    Talking of which...

    1. Haha, yeah, I need to cook tea and tidy up a bit before any sewing can take place today. Dom would help, but I don't mind doing it and it's one of those 'my way is the right way' things ;)

    2. Well I can't complain too much as J normally cooks (although that does mean that I normally get lumbered with the washing up). But he's had blood taken today and a tight turn-around when he got in so it didn't seem unreasonable for me to get off my backside...

    3. And now my machine keeps jamming and overloading. Looks like it needs to go for a service :-(
