Well, this month was a rubbish month for sewing! I didn't finish anything sewing related! Hmm, not being at uni makes me lazy I think. Having no structure to my day really doesn't so me any good.
This month I'm going to try to do an hour of sewing related activity a day, bank balance permitting of course ;) And then if you're interested, I'll share what I did in my hour or so. I think this will be a good challenge to get my productivity going again :) Would you be interested in regular updates on what I did with my hour?

I'd be interested! Not least, actually, because I'd be interested to see how long a given task takes you. I can never work out whether I'm a spectacularly slow sewer or whether it's just that I don't spend the concentrated hours on it that most of the blogsphere does.
ReplyDeleteI completely know what you mean about not having structure to the day. Employment may be eating my time and energies from other points of view, but it is such a relief to have my hours planned out a bit again.
I hadn't thought of that! I'm probably really slow! But it'll be interesting to compare :)
ReplyDeleteSetting my self an hour time limit will help me focus too, as I get distracted by the internet, and if Dom is playing on his Xbox I get distracted by the story of what ever game he's playing. Perhaps I should sit with my back to him?
Glad to know you're interested. Hopefully, I'll have an update tomorrow :) Oh and a giveaway winner!

I'd be interested to see your progress :) I think that setting yourself a target of at least an hour a day is a good one...when I first started writing my thesis my supervisor encouraged me to have a 'thesis hour' every evening...it's surprising how quickly it builds up when you work on something regularly!
ReplyDelete:) yay! Hmm, the hour a day might be a good idea for more than just sewing. I think I'll use it when I start back at uni too :)
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know where my time goes. I have nothing much to show for the last month, and it bothers me. So hopefully with an hour a day, next months review will be better :)

I say go for it! I'm curious to see how long stuff takes other people as well. :-)
